Raskolnikov's theory about the "extraordinary and ordinary man" is much like our society in the way that in order for the extraordinary man to exist and benefit the ordinary man must be at the bottom suffering(educationally, financially).For the extraordinary man Raskolnikov believe's that the law is something beneath him where as with the ordinary man the law dominates and crushes him.I believe that it's really sad that our society is much like the ideas of a madman.The rich and powerful often does not fall victim to the law but not because of cleverness. Nowadays it's because of money. The poor often falls victim to the law, not because they deserve it or should take the fall but because they simply can't aford to avoid it.
