I was a bit fond of Lonnie, the cute scruffy boy who got his throat cut in the alley by the SOTW who then went on to shoot up the mission van. He had potential for so much more, really. *g*

I'm not sure how well he'd do in fanfic though. A really transient character like that doesn't add much when the author can take their time and flesh out a scene as much as they want. I think their purpose on-screen is more like a kind of shorthand to get the viewer quickly from one point to the next...not so necessary in fanfic where the author has a lot of other choices.
