Unlike message boards, LJ really provides a good format for visuals. When people insert pictures into message board posts it often feels cluttered, but on LJ with the neatly-formatted icons and the ability to tuck huge pics behind cuts, the visual element feels seamless and natural. I find that LJ has prompted me to become interested in the visual source of the show all over again, which I had kind of lost interest in for a while.

And while there is a noticeable lack of Roy Dupuis-focused LJ communities (where *are* all the RD fans?), I have seen a lot of Michael icons floating around. The Nikita ones seem to outnumber them, though, which is quite interesting and the opposite of the tendency on the message boards.
