Finally, today, I lost it. And the payment will be high. So very high.

Anger, disappointment, frustration. I think I hate feelings more now that I'm having them than I did when I wasn't feeling anything.

It was the sight of Mignon walking through Section in her black patent raincoat and knee-high boots that did it. I knew it was her, but I still dared to hope... the feeling of weakness was overwhelming and unwelcome.

God but it felt good to break that recruit's leg! With everyone watching, no less. Even Operations and Madeline.

I owe the sensei an apology.
