Subject: If you could rewrite one story you'd written...(r)

...which one would it be? Why? What would you do?

My answer is easy. I would turn my ITLG-flavoured stories, "Question of Time" and "Soul Mining", into one story. I don't hate these two stories when I read them now, but I sure as hell don't love them. I was too timid to tackle anything beyond what I saw on the screen, so there's none of that 'behind the scenes' stuff I love writing these days. The sex scenes are also fairly overblown (no pun intended) and heavyhanded to the point of making me wince, lol!

For starters, I'd splice Michael's POV with Nikita's, write all the inbetween bits - Maddy and Paul at their scheming best, Mr Jones keeping watch but not lifting a finger, Mick being Mick - all those wonderful Section things that I didn't have the confidence to tackle when I first started writing in the fandom. Then I'd get rid of all those freakishly long sentences everywhere and the purple prose (slick folds and jumping arousal, people!) in the NC-17 bits.

So, yeah, that's what I'd do. If I had another ten hours in the day and the energy to think about ITLG amidst all the other fannish stuff in my head, of course. *g*
