since I have yet to archive anything, and the stuff that makes me wince the most has long ago fallen off of the storyboard archives, but the first couple things I did had some very conventionally angsty passages that just make me cringe now. I actually think that some angst is fine, and like all of us I've read stories that use it very deftly, but the general tone of LFN is so dark, and there was so much in the series itself that leaned toward the impossible/unrequited/unfortunate that it's easy to overdose on it in fanfiction.
