That was something I first came up with in my story Walter, I believe. One of the early ones. I also had Michael's son inherit his asthma allergies. My Mikey was very sensitive to green peppers, but I think he just didn't like them. It had a lot to dp with RD's plugged nose. LOL
I'm guilty of a lot that got passed on, I think. Even the name Chris, for Davenport, which is often attributed to the other Betsy, but I know I coined, because I have a second cousin named Chris Davenport-- a girl--and it seemed a funny joke to do that.
