Need some help. I have a 2003 4.8 liter silverado single cab regular bed truck with the following: 22inch light aluminum rims, a Magnaflow 4 inch exhaust throughout, an Air-Raid intake, a Power-aid throttle body spacer and a new custom computer program aka "racing chip". I ran a 15.6 on wet track and want tips how to make it faster without supercharger and cost effective tips.

Need some info? I took my 16 year old girl to the drags this summer and now she want to race. I have an old 1972 chevy truck we have taken it down to the frame now we want to start building it back as a drag truck only not street legal. I was thinking of a 454 HP 450hp to start her out in with say a 513 gear and power glide tranee. so how about it any help or advice would be greatfull. Thanks Mike & Shannon

I was wondering what everyone is using for front springs? I have a 77 Chevy Stepside with a 454, Chris Alston 4 Link, and Bell Tech Front Spindles. I have yet to get my 4 linkset up by a shop with scales But the way it is right now my 60 ft times suck 2.30's. What I was wondering after I get my 4 link scaled Do I need to get after market springs for the front to help get better weight transfer. Is there anybody that makes springs and possible some 90/10 shocks? any info would be helpfull. Thanks

Hey! I have a 1984 s10 with a stock 305 small block out of an old Caprice and I need to know how to get some easy and cheap horsepower, I am only 17 and on a tight budget. It's running mid to low 15's right now and all I have done is put a 600cfm Holley carb. If anybody has any ideas let me know.

All mint, I am in need of a set of Dart Pro 1 heads, alum. 345 runner size, don't need valves, don't need springs, don't need guide plates or rocker studs, just the heads in great shape just add valves, springs, etc, set up per cam and go, and well, if you have ARP studs that fit to go with, a plus+++

Ay, How do you guys get these monsters to hook up.. I dont have nearly the power of a supercharged big-block but even with 12 inch slicks I have a hell of a time hookin up. Any suspension tips to help me get this beast of the line would help.

Wow, great site guys, I really love the videos. I have a 58 chevy short bed step side that will be done helpfully in the next year or two. It has an alston back half and an alston profab 9" with 5:14 and 17 inch hoosers. Power plant will be a 468 bb chevy, which we plan to run on alcohol.

Great site...I am in the middle of a 3-5 year project and am still driving it daily...I am looking for a full fiberglass nose...i saw one on a drag truck on the spike tv channel...point me in the right direction...thankz...the truck is a full size 95 gmc x cab short bed 4x4 lowerd 3front 4rear with 305 50 20's all around...a 305 tbi supercharged intercooled 5speed with a traction locker...so far i have got 275hp and 330ftlbs at the rear...thankz again

this is a great site, i have a 94 s-10 with a 406"sbc brodix ported heads 670 lift roller 14.5-1 pistons steel crank 6" rods 400 turbo with 8" 5500 stall i still need to get a rear end that will hold up
wanted to know if anyone knows of a rear that will bolt up or at least come close cause im going to try to make this thing hook with a 10.5" slick with a set of cal-tracks, i had this engine & trans in a 72 monte carlo that weighed 3500 pounds and ran 10.50s at 126 mph on motor.
anyway if anybody has any info on a rear please let me know. thanks lee

looks like you guys have created a great site i am the owner of a 1989 s10 which previously had a very mild 350 that ran consistant 12.80s i have recently purchased a set of h beam eagle rods and a set of 13 to 1 wiesco forged pistons and a 350 block now looking for a steel crank really wanting a eagle 4340 3.75stroke so i can finish my 383 nitrous motor i am from texas my home track we get to see alot of promod cars and a few trucks but even more we c a lot of outlaw backhalf shootouts not the last shoot out but one before it a luv to won i believe it was a 706inch nitrous motor me and family might would be intersted in comming out to yall oct race if we can get our truck toghter i hope we are racing by then we have been a part of the truck show scene since 1994 but recenly sold our show truck so we might focous on drag racing you guys should look at putting on a show and race here in texas i promise it is at least as popular here as it is there maybe more ok well if any 1 knows of a crank can be reached at www.jasonjws@aol.com or at home 903 962 4987 thanks

just started project. got 68 327ci bored 60 over. flat top piston.mellings 223/447lift cam. roller lifters,roller rockers. later style heads 192 springs,valves, guides new and shaved. edelbrock dual carb tunnel ram,two edelbrock 500cm carbs,mds ignition. truck slammed to the ground. will have disc brakes front new style 5 lug wheels. 12 bolt 5 lug rear end 15" street slicks. plastic gauging motor now and dog house is off. the 1969 truck came with a 6 cyl. but had a( not sure yet ) nice 4 speed trans which i will learn about and cherry it out. this is a STREET DRAG TRUCK and will be driven to work and back.

I am just starting a pickup project for bracket racing.
Truck is a swb 2wd chevy. Motor is a 377 ci with 12.1 compression, 292 angle plug heads (old turbo heads)
cam is 250/260 duration @ .50, vicor jr, msd ignition. converter is around 3500. gearing is 4.88 with 26 inch hoosier quick times. Anyone have a similar setup? I am curious as to how quick a similarly equiped 1/2 ton chev will run.

Great site love the trucks i race a 1980 EL-camino with a turbo 400 trans and a mild 454 looking to go faster it has a 6 pt bar can i get it to run faster without a back half and full cage? will a powerglide help it to be more consisent? weight is 3300lbs steel doors frt end glass hood and bumpers best et 11.14 @125mph southside machine lift bar kit with braces and 4.11 spool 29" x 10.5 tire let me know what u think
