The ghosts are Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde. By the way, Pinky is in love with Pac-Man, but knows that her touch would kill him. It's a very tragic forbidden love sort of thing.

Does Pac-Man know this? Maybe he should go after her and she should let herself be eaten- symbolically becoming a part of him... FOREVER

Pac-Man find out about Pinky, yes. At some point, to solve her problem, she chases after Pac-Man, saying that only in death can they be together, and that he should be thankful that she is going to end his life.

He gets a power pellet at the last minute and eats Pinky. She takes a while to die, her last wish being that her remaining ghost brothers kill Pac-Man, and avenge her and Blinky's death.

I think. The plot is still kinda up in the air, and me and Ben haven't really written it down or anything.

Um, but don't they just return to their ghost-house and get reincarnated? You need to address that integral aspect of gameplay. Perhaps a twist ending?

The musical will be more realistic. If death isn't final, the ghosts are less interesting as characters, and their fates less dramatic. Of course, their reincarnation made sense from a game design perspective. The problem is that a musical can't be a video game.

Actually, can it? I'll need to think about that.

Oh, god, I just had a thought.

"Little Shop of Horrors, the Video Game!"

"Play as Audrey II, and guide poor, timid Seymour through the terrors of Skid Row. Convince him chop up as many people as you can to feed your blood thirsty appetite! Get bonus points by helping him get Audrey, the girl of his dreams, only to eat them both right before you take over the world! It's loads of evil, alien fun!"

Why not? Think combination DDR and Samba De Amigo, with (depending on the genre) dating sim, Action, or RPG sequences between the dance numbers!

Pac Man: The Musical: The Videogame!

Gosh, that's even more obscene than Pocket Fighter, the fighting game based on a puzzle game based on a fighting game...

I was thinking more in terms of something being both a musical and a videogame, not a videogame based on a musical. Although they both have possibilities. Hey, Mike, how a bout a Rent game? You play as Benny, and try to collect rent and evict artists. Extra points if you prevent people from singing "La Vie Boheme".

Well, that was the idea behind the DDR + Samba De Amigo sequences: doing the best you could to mimic the dance numbers. I don't think technology is quite to singing recognition yet, though.

Sadly, no.

As for the idea of a Rent videogame, I'm already on the fence with regards to the possibility of a movie. I am pretty much totally against the idea of a Rent video game.

That being said, making a video game that is heavily musical-inspired (meaning that there's a lot of singing and dancing) sounds like a great idea. Because anything with lots of (good) singing and (good) dancing is good.

Do you have two pads? It's more fun 2-player, or double-pad...

First of all, there is no real singing, which is my favorite part of musicals.

Second, the music that you dance to is, in my opinion, crappy. Or, at least, not that great. Doesn't inspire me to dance very much, in any case.

Third of all, I suck at DDR (or, rather, I'm not good enough to give me incentive to play it).

Fourth, I don't consider what people do while playing DDR to be really dancing. Where are the spins and high kicks?

Fifth, I am in Boston, so I can't really come to visit you.

Sixth, when I DO eventually come and visit (I'm flying back on the 20th) I plan to do several things, none of them DDR related.

And, seventh, you are ALWAYS bored. I'm beginning to think that it's impossible for you not to be bored at least once or twice a day.

So, to make the long story which I just told you short...

No.

You can sing along while playing. I've seen people do that over here.

DDR MUSSIC IS TEH BEST MUSIK EVAR!!11!2

Again, I have seen people spin while playing the game. One could conceivably kick, it would just lower the score a bit.

>Fifth, I am in Boston, so I can't really come to visit

Play it with him over the Internet.

>Sixth, when I DO eventually come and visit (I'm flying

I'm sure you'll have time for one more thing. Besides, having a DDR-related activity will help you balance out all that non-DDR stuff.

Eric could be in a room full of glowing spider monkeys who sing the theme from the G. I. Joe movie, and he would still find a way to be bored.

ummmm it was something like that, but i think it was that there was the weird alien race trying to kill the world by doing something and then gi had to stop it but there were weird twists like cobra commander was actually one of these aliens but was exiled a long time ago from them. I am at school when i typed this cool.
