Subject: Roy City West Park

I live behind Roy City West Park and I was livid when I found out that the park curfew is midnight to 5am! Who is the genius that set this curfew?! Obviously not someone that has to deal with the b.s. that goes on in that park not only during the day but at night. There are kids parking and going into the bathrooms to have sex at night. There are drug deals that take place in the parking lot, known kids that go back by the railroad tracks to smoke weed, high school kids ruining the park equipment, people doing "donuts" on the soccer fields and parking lot when it rains and snows. Not to mention all the people that climb over our back fence to either retrieve tennis balls or to cut through our yard (and destroy our fence in the process) to get to the next street. And, Yes, we have a "No Tresspassing" sign. If we call someone about getting into our yard, the police show up and yell at US! Granted not all of them are buttheads, quite a few of them actually do their jobs and are civil and polite about it. Roy City's police dept. has gone to the crapper ever since Weber County forces pooled together to become one. It's great that they're fighting crime in the rest of Weber County,but apparently they're not doing anything to PREVENT crime right here in Roy! I won't even get started on dispatch that doesn't even know where half of the streets in Roy are to begin with. Sorry, I know this turned into a rant, but Roy City's webpage won't come up so I can send nasty emails to those that make and enforce the laws around here.
