Today's discussion on desire really triggered ideas in my small, yet humble brain. I think that everyone contributed in conscientious and philosophical ways. But I think desire is a combination of all the elements mentioned. My own ideas surrounding desire come from a sense of personal lacking, whether material or internal. Perhaps this can stem from what a person has possessed in the past and has lost or from what a person has seen in the media and would like to possess in the future. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer to the question of what desire is. I believe it is a question of how this "desire" is executed or internalized. Also, it has to be acknowledged as something that is inevitable, not just characteristic of a desparate few. Just a lil tid bit for today from Maxie :).
