Your key interests seem to be related to gender and voice:
"Who has the right to re-create the scene? Is female repression confined to just sexual repression?"

Both are tied together because they relate to power. Who gets to have voice and who is repressed or oppressed? You seem to be implying that your interest here is in examining moments when women are somehow repressed or oppressed. Remember though, there are always gray areas, which is why life and literature become interesting. There are spaces, however small and slight, for resistances.

You can examine works on several levels. One would be the literal meaning, another would be the metaphorical meaning. Does this help you?
