Some students complained when I originally required that TWO TEXTS must be used in the ten paged section (in addition to the five pages on your own work). So I revised the assignment. Now some students are worried that using only ONE TEXT for the ten pages is too hard. Well (!) I want to allow you as much room as possible to show what you can do. So-- how about this-- the decision is yours. You decide whether you want to use ONE or TWO texts (or pieces of work)for the ten pages. Keep in mind this: I want a focused, well-organized, and thoughtful paper. There must be some deeper message, point, idea, or analysis that you are going to offer. I do not want a listing of notes that are thrown together about several pieces and works. I also do not want a lengthy summary of works. Re-summarizing a work does not make a critical paper.
