Thanks go to Faithsguy for writing such a great episode, and because I'm a whorebear for stardom I demanded a co-credit for rewriting some stuff :) Wow, I come off really bad...

EPISODE 8.05 - PAST TENSE

Giles: Previously on Buffy the Vampire Slayer….
Clip of Glory telling Dawn what the key looks like; Clip of Buffy jumping off the tower in “The Gift”; Clip of Buffy’s hand coming out of the grave in “Bargaining”; Clip of Xanders Father in “Hell’s Bell’s”; Clip of Spike killing the two slayers; Clip of Spike and Drusilla together in “School Hard”; Clip of “The Chosen Three”, Raven fighting Buffy and Faith, and Raven announcing she will stay in Sunnydale; Shoot to clip of “Grown Up” where Xander and Buffy and Willow talk about Xander leaving cut to robed figure from “The Chosen Three” revealing its Amy.
Camera cut to Interior Xanders apartment, Xander is on the phone.
Xander: I know I contracted you for a move, but I called like two weeks ago and said I wasn’t moving!
Xander looks out the window, a moving truck is parked outside and the movers are sitting outside of the truck.
Xander: Yes, I told you, I’m not moving!
A knock at the door is heard.
Xander: Well tell them to leave. I’m sorry, goodbye.
Xander slams up the phone and walks to the door. He opens it. Its Buffy, Willow and Dawn.
Xander: Hey guys, 'sup?
Buffy: You tell us.
Xander: huh?
Dawn: Well with the presence of the moving truck, and the recent job offer, we are just a little nervous here.
Willow: Xander, do we have to go into that “I love you” speech again, cause I can do it.
Xander: No guys, I’m not leaving, I thought we talked about this.
Buffy: Actually we never really clarified if you were or weren’t, so I’m glad to have that loose end tied up. So why are the moving trucks here?
Xander: I called and canceled the move two weeks ago, and now all of a sudden they don’t have record of it, and they won’t leave. Anyway, is it just you three today?
Dawn: Actually Faith was here, but umm, hey guys, where did faith go?
A man scream is heard from outside and then a loud bang.
The gang runs to the window and looks down.
Camera cut to the Faith jacking a moving guy up against the truck..
Faith: Now, what would you like me to do for you?
Mover: Nothing, I uh…I’m sorry miss.
Faith: Good boy.
Xander calls down from the window.
Xander: Faith, what are you doing?
Faith: He came onto me!
Xander: Oh. Well, in that case, we'll just leave you to it.
Xander moves away from the window. We can hear the mover guy in the background as Faith returns to the apartment complex.
Mover: Forget this! Lets go, I’m not moving a psycho.
The movers get in the truck and it speeds off.
Camera shoot back to Interior Xanders apartment.
Buffy: See, that’s all you needed to do.
Xander: Yeah, why can’t I get the hairy overweight men to hit on me.
The three girls look at Xander in shock.
Xander: Just a joke. So any word on this new hottie in town?
Dawn: Hottie?
Xander: By hottie, I mean evil hell demon.
Dawn: Coz that's exactly the same thing.
Xander: In my world - pretty much, yeh.
Buffy: Not really the time to be discussing your sex life, Xand.
Dawn: I think you meant to say "lack of", Buffy.
Xander: Hey! I still have the Sock Puppet Of Lurve!
Dawn: Ew much?
Faith appears at the doorway.
Faith: What are we chattin about guys?
Dawn: Just Xander's lack of a sex life.
Faith: Really? Well, if ya ever get lonely, *mock suggestively* I'm only a phone call away Xand. I mean, it wouldn't take much out of my day, so no big on my part....and not much big on yours either.
Xander: Ok, lets stop teasing the Y-chromosome here. Oh, look, I actually remember something from school! Now I can justify blowing it up.
Buffy: There was another, very giant snake-like reason for levelling the school...
Xander: I don't like to dwell on it. Snakes freak me out.
Dawn: Me too.
Buffy: Wow, we've really mastered the art of not getting to the point, haven't we?
Xander: Oh, right yes, this new bad-ass.
Faith: This sired-Slayer chick. Any more news, B?
Buffy: Nothing, I just wish we knew where she was, or what she wanted.
Camera shoot to interior caves, Raven stands talking to Amy as the other robed figures chant.
Amy: Give it to me.
Raven: Huh? Honey we just met, and I’m not in favour of “giving it” on the first date.
Amy: No, the scroll you moron.
Raven: Let’s not act all Big Bad around here, just remember, I’m the one with the power.
Amy: Not for long. Look, I’m not going to try and control you, after all I’m just working for the higher power, but I need that scroll.
Raven: What for?
Amy: Don’t ask questions. I summoned you, you do my bidding.
Raven: Wrong honey, you summoned me, I came. Did you see anything in the instructions about bidding?
Amy reluctantly looks down and then back up
Amy: What do you want?
Raven: Just information, let me know what you plan on using this for.
Amy: I can’t tell, It’s not allowed.
Raven: Then I think I’ll hold onto this for a while, until it is allowed.
Amy: Why can’t you just give it to me?
Raven: No, no, no. You’re not the only with secrets now are you peaches?
Amy: Please, they’ll find you, the slayer and her friends will find you.
Raven: Don’t worry; I have a little plan for them.
Amy: And that is?
Raven begins to walk away, however still talking to Amy.
Raven: Keep ‘em busy for a while. And I have just the person to do it.
Raven continues walking away.
Camera flash to a mysterious figure almost flowing into town, it is dressed in all black robes with a black top hat on.
Camera flash to black.
Roll Credits (Nothing New - although just because we feel like it we have digitally inserted the Cheese Man into every clip seen).
Camera shoot to interior Magic Box, Anya and Giles are sitting at the table talking, Andrew is cleaning around the store.
Giles: Anya, before the store opens tomorrow, we need to get some things straight.
Anya: You’re right, lets get something straight. I’m the boss around here.
Giles: Anya, no fights today. We need to come to an understanding as to who does what.
Anya: Fine, I suppose I could use the help around here.
Giles: And I don’t think you had an option considering my name is still on half of the deed to this place.
Anya: Oh fine. So we both own it. Lets make the best of it.
Giles: Fine, and from now on, no more arguments.
Andrew chimes in from the opposite side of the room.
Andrew: Can I borrow this spell book?
Giles & Anya: NO!
Giles: See we can agree on something.
Anya: Oh, this is almost exciting!
Camera shoot to the house in the cemetery, The mysterious figure stands next to Raven.
Raven: So you are the Missionary.
Missionary: That I am.
Raven: Before we get into the whole creating a new dimension thing, can you just answer one question for me?
Missionary: One.
Raven: Um, why do they call you the Missionary?
Missionary: Because, when given a mission I stop at nothing to achieve it.
Raven: I’m beginning to like that….
Commercial Break:: “It’s the Cajun celebration at McDonalds, come try our new filet of grease sandwich or our …. Uh, what the….?” The Slayer Smartie wanders in, killing all McDonalds employees “You can keep a Smartie down for only so long…”
Camera flash back to interior house in cemetery.
Missionary: Why have you summoned me?
Raven: I hear you’re the worlds leading authority on creating and maintaining alternate dimensions.
Missionary: You’ve heard much, all true.
Raven: So something that’s been annoying me, do you have a face, or do I just have to stare at that shadow outline all day?
Missionary: Its all that I am, shadows, I create them, I become them. That’s what every dimension is, a shadow of another.
Raven: Uh-huh. Whatever, so listen can you banish the people that I want to other dimensions?
Missionary: I can only banish but a few at a time. My powers grow weaker with my age.
Raven: How many is “a few”?
Missionary: Three at the most.
Raven: Fine, banish the three I tell you.
Missionary: What gift have you to offer me that would let me give my undying powers to you?
Raven: This.
Raven holds up the scroll. The missionary stands back.
Missionary: Is that the -
Raven: That it is, its all yours if you can do what I tell you.
Missionary: Granted.
Raven: Good boy, now lets be on our way, oh wait. Its sunny outside, I cant. Listen to me, go to the Magic Box, it’s a small shop in town. I’ve been informed that the slayer gang likes to hang out there. Go inside and find the three with the most um, um….most uh…
Missionary: I can find the fear in anyone.
Raven: Oh that’s good, find the three with the most deepest darkest fears, and send them to a dimension filled with their fear.
Missionary: That shouldn’t be too difficult.
Raven: Good, oh, and if someone is scared of snakes, don’t send them there. I hate snakes too, and I couldn’t wish that upon anyone, even my mortal enemy.
Missionary: Fine! I go now.
The missionary engulfs in fire and vanishes.
Raven: That was pretty cool.
Camera flash to Magic Box, the entire gang is inside. Giles and Anya are behind the register while Andrew fiddles with a few items. Xander is measuring for a shelf as Willow and Kennedy are researching at a table.
Faith, Buffy and Dawn enter from the back.
Dawn: Wooo, what a work out.
Faith: Not bad lil sis.
Buffy: Nope, not bad at all.
Dawn: So do you think I’ll be read to start patrolling with you guys?
Faith: Yeah, B, could be good for her.
Buffy: Yeah, that’d be great Dawn! Oh, and if you’re not busy later, we can introduce you to torture techniques!
Dawn: I know I’m not the slayer or anything, but give me some credit! Everyone treats me like a little girl.
Anya: Well technically you are a little girl.
Dawn: I’m 18!!! Well, almost, but still!!
Xander: Anya, back off, its between her and Buffy.
Buffy: Look, Dawn, I know how much it would mean to you, but….you’re still my little sister. Mom would want me to take care of you, and that includes not letting you get in on the Slayer action. I’m sorry.
A flash of fire appears in the Magic Box. The Missionary appears.
Buffy: Why does this always happen.
Missionary: Silence!
Faith: Yeah, I’m one for the quiet type.
Missionary: Do not disobey me girl.
Faith and Buffy begin to run for the Missionary. He puts his hand up pushing them back into each other.
Buffy: (sarcastically) Boy didn’t see that one coming.
The missionary looks around the room as the gang stands in fighting stances. He looks at Xander.
Missionary: You!
He points to Xander who disappears.
Anya: Xander!
Willow: What did you do to him?
Missionary: Silence!
The Missionary looks at Dawn and points.
Missionary: You!
Dawn disappears.
Buffy: No! Dawny! What did you do to her? Where is she?
Spike Enters from the back
Spike: I don’t fancy a lot of screaming and yelling whilst I’m trying to - oh demon.
The missionary points at Spike.
Missionary: You!
Spike disappears. The missionary disappears also in a gulf of flames.
Camera flash to Interior: Xanders old basement. He appears in it. He looks around.
Xander: huh?
He walks to the door and opens it, there is nothing outside, it is just black.
Xander: Freakage going on here, hello! Help!
A voice is heard behind him.
Voice: No ones coming Buddy Boy.
Xander turns around and looks at his father.
Xander: Dad?
Xander’s Dad:: I guess you could say that.
Camera flash to nothing but white light. There are bright white lights everywhere. Total silence. Dawn appears.
Dawn: Buffy!
Glory appears in front of her.
Glory: No one here to care for you sweetie, so don’t try.
Dawn: Glory? My sister killed you.
Glory: Well, that’s not technically true. But that’s another story. Yeah, dead here, but honey this is another dimension, another life, I’m doing just fine here.
Dawn: Why am I here?
Glory: You were -
Camera flash to interior Crypt, Spike is sitting on a tomb as Drusilla walks around him, leading on from the sentence Glory started.
Drusilla: - Brought here, to see what it should be like.
Spike: I was brought here? To see what?
Drusilla: How it should be, if you wouldn’t have gotten a soul, if you would have just never come back and if you would have just stayed with me my sweet boy.
Spike: You’re going to show me…
Drusilla: How much better life would be if you never stayed…..
Camera shoot to Glory talking to Dawn.
Glory: If you were never created.
Camera flash to Xanders Father talking to Xander.
Xanders Father: If you would just have married Anya.
Cut to commercial. “This week on the Twilight Zone….wait, is that damn show still on? Haven’t we replaced it with endless reality shows already?”
Cut back to Magic Box. The gang sits around the table, silence.
Buffy: How could I let this happen?
Willow: Its not your fault.
Kennedy: There was nothing you could do.
Buffy: I just stood there, I couldn’t move.
Faith: None of us could B. We’ll get them back.
Buffy: How, we don’t even know where they are, or if they are even alive!
Andrew: They have to be alive, I mean its like that thing pinpointed them for something.
Giles: Found it. Right here. Damn.
Buffy: What?
Giles: It’s a demon, named the Missionary. He comes to a town when summoned, and can create a dimension out of a person’s fear.
Willow: That sounds a little vengeance demony.
Anya: It’s not a vengeance demon. I’ve heard of this Missionary guy, me & Hallie hung around with him for a while. Well until he tried to kill Hallie, that kinda put a downer on the whole friendship thing…
Willow: Is there any bad guy you haven’t hung around with? I mean, Dracula, D’Hoffryn, now this Missionary…
Anya: Well, I haven’t personally met Dr Jekyll yet…
Faith: Right, that’s wicked great, really. But we have a situation. What does he want, and who would summon him?
Willow: I’m guessing our new friend would be crazy enough to do it.
Buffy: Giles what does it do?
Giles: Well these new dimensions focus on their fears, its sort of a dream world for them.
Faith: How do we get them back?
Willow: Anya, you and I did that spell once to get your amulet back, maybe I can work something to pull them out of wherever they are.
Camera flash to Interior Xanders basement. He sits with is father.
Xanders Father: You gave it up, that’s what you’re scared of isn’t it?
Xander: Gave what up?
Xanders Father: You think the only chance you had at a real life was marrying Anya, and you blew it. Well guess what buddy boy, you did blow it.
Xander: No.
Xanders Father: Yes you did. If you would have married her, a normal life would have been given to you.
Xander: I will never have a normal life.
Xanders Father: You wont now.
Xander: No, either way, I wouldn’t have.
Xanders Father: Do you think Buffy would let the father of Anya’s child fight evil?
Xander: What?
Xanders Father: You would have had a child by now. A little boy.
Xander: I would?
Xanders Father: But you won’t now, never will you have a child. My son, a loser.
Xander: I am not a loser.
Xanders Father: Do you realize that if you had married Anya, Tara would not have died?
Xander: How are those two things even connected?!
Xanders Father: Anya wouldn’t have slept with Spike. You and Buffy wouldn’t have fallen out. You would’ve been there and stopped Spike from trying what he wanted to do. You would’ve seen Willow and Tara together, and most importantly you & Buffy wouldn’t have been at the house. Tara wouldn’t have been shot. Willow wouldn’t have gone evil, none of those things would have happened if you hadn’t been so selfish!
Xander: You don’t know that for sure.
Xander’s Father: Oh, but its interesting to think it, isn’t it?
Xander: Stop it.
Camera flash to white light, Glory walks around Dawn talking to her.
Glory: You’re evil; you were created to do evil.
Dawn: I can’t do this, not again.
Glory: Don’t you want to know, what you were, how you were created?
Dawn: I’m human now. I’m not a Key.
Glory: Oh please sweetie, do you think that something older than time is gonna be dismantled by some skin and bones?
Dawn: Stop it.
Glory: Come on sweetie, lets take a trip.
Glory snaps her fingers, the two vanish to a quiet country side, children play in the meadows and their parents sit and watch. Everything is peaceful and pleasant.
Dawn and Glory appear.
Glory: Good we got here early, pay close attention.
The sky opens with flames shooting from it. Three gigantic demons fall from the sky. They begin breathing fire everywhere as buildings on the country side fall and people scream.
The three demons look at each other. The demon on the left looks at the one in the middle.
Left Demon: Should we use the Key Glorificus?
Dawn: Glorificus? You mean that thing is you?!
Glory: Yeah, granted I was a little bigger and, well, badder then, it’s still me.
Dawn: What are you doing to these people? What is going to happen to them?
Glory: You can answer that question, just watch.
Right Demon: Give her the Key.
Demon Glory: The Key will take care of this mess.
Demon Glory looks at the glowing object in her hand..
Demon Glory: Take out the children, make the elders mine.
The Key slams into the ground. The children fall to the ground. The parents turn into demons.
Dawn: The children? You killed them?
Glory: Not me sweets, you.
Dawn: (screams) NO!
Camera shoot to Crypt. Drusilla sits with Spike.
Drusilla: It tells me things, your soul. It tells me that you’re not the boy I loved. You’re not the one that you’re supposed to be.
Spike: I’m not the vampire you loved Dru. I’m different now, I have a soul.
Drusilla: Whining, my little Spike, the stars tell me about you and your new life. You shouldn’t have been there, shouldn’t have come. Should have stayed with me.
Spike: You didn’t want me. I had nowhere else to go. Turns out I was needed, to help save the world.
Drusilla: No, you’re a killer, born and bred. Not a saviour.
Spike: (quietly) I’m neither. Just a man.
Drusilla: You are my dear boy, a vampire, not a man. Should I remind you?
A few zombies appear, they are people Spike have killed. One among them is a little boy.
Spike: Make it go away Dru.
Drusilla: Do you remember them, the ones you killed? Aww, don’t be shy, the King of Cups wants to see his followers.
Little Boy: Why me Spike? I had so much to live for. Do you know what happened after you killed me? My mommy killed herself, that’s right, she killed herself.
Spike: It wasn’t me.
Zombie Woman: Yes it was, I remember you. I begged for my life, I was on my way to see my husband who was dying and needed medicine. I had it for him, but you killed me before it got to him, so he died too.
Drusilla: Don’t you see my boy, because of the people you killed, others died too. You are a killer Spike, its what you are meant to be.
Spike: Stop it! I’m not a killer! Not anymore!
Drusilla: You want me to stop?
Spike: (sobbing) Please…make it stop.
Drusilla: Then drink….her.
Spike looks at a little girl crying in the corner.
Drusilla: Its your fear isn’t it Spike? You don’t want to become what you were before? Don’t wait for it, just do it, get it over with and I’ll let you go home.
Spike has his head down.
Drusilla: Back to the Slayer, back to your new life.
Spike looks up, he is vamped.
Commercial break “Windex, boy is it shining!” “Hi-yah!” The Slayer Smartie dives in, smashing the window.
Camera flash back to Xanders Basement.
Xanders Father: There’s no helping you Xander, you are a lost cause.
Xander: Dad, stop.
Xanders Father: Don’t call me that. I don’t want people to know you’re my son. You are a lost cause, you run away from everything. You had a chance to leave a couple of weeks ago and have yet another normal life, and you didn’t. Why do you live in fear? You’re scared Xander, scared of a normal life. There is nothing to be scared of. Nothing. I can give you a normal life. I can get you out of here. But there is something you must do.
Xander: What?
Xanders Father: I can send you to that new job and give you a normal life. But in exchange you won’t have any memories of Sunnydale, your friends, or anyone. But its not as bad as it seems. You won’t remember so you won’t miss them, and you’ll have a normal life.
Xander: Never.
Xanders Father: Then you’re never leaving here.
Xander: Please let me go!
Xanders Father: You would rather stay here in this life, living on as the person who left Anya, killed Tara, sent Willow over the edge and did all that bad stuff. You would rather live like that? It’s your fear isn’t it? That all of these things happened because of you? Because of your mistakes in the past? Well I can help your future…
Xander: Stop!
Xanders Father: Only if you agree!
Xander looks up at his father; his eyes are filled with tears.
Camera shoot to Dawn and Glory, they are now at the tower that Buffy jumped off.
Glory: Boy, you really are an evil little girl.
Dawn: (crying) I’m not.
Glory: And to think, if you were never created, Buffy wouldn’t have died, and I’m pretty sure your mom would have lived too.
Dawn: I had nothing to do with my mom dying.
Glory: Sure you did, think about it, these monks messing with her mind, her memories. I’m sure they weren’t perfect, maybe there was a little flaw in the program and your mother short circuited.
Dawn: Stop it.
Glory: Look at you, pathetic Dawny. You’re filled with fear. You’re scared because you are here, all of these bad things happened, and to them your just a little trouble maker. They see you as a little girl. Shame on them. I can make you the most powerful thing in this universe.
Dawn: I’m not going to be the Key again.
Glory: Think about it. I can give you the power to do anything you want.
Dawn: I won’t be with them anymore.
Glory: Yes you will, just not as a human. You’d be a, a weapon to them. Then you’d be able to go into the fight. Or if you would rather stay a little girl forever.
Dawn: Please don’t make me. I just want to go home.
Glory becomes clearly frustrated as she grabs Dawn by the throat and hangs her over the tower.
Glory: There is only one way you’re getting back, as a blob of green energy. Otherwise you die here.
Camera flash to Magic Box, Willow, Anya and Buffy stand in a circle around items of Spike, Dawn, and Xander.
Willow: Remember Buffy, get them and get out, I don’t know how much longer it will hold.
Giles looks up from a book.
Giles: Wait. It says that this Missionary can sense when you’re breaking into his spell, he’ll come to fight.
Faith: and I’ll be ready for him.
Kennedy: Me too.
Andrew: Me three…*off looks* Okay…they’ll be ready for him. I’ll be ready to duck.
Giles: Its not that, it says that only the persons he summons into that dimension can get into them, the rest can only see.
Buffy: So I can’t get in?
Giles: No, but you can see them, and I’m pretty sure they could hear you if you talk to them.
Willow: Anything else?
Giles: No I don’t think….wait! The book says that its just a dream world, that the fear can control it or those in fear can. Buffy, when you see them, tell them to face their fears and it will get weaker. I think if they can just overcome them, they can come back..
Faith: And if shadow guy shows up, I’ll finally get that good ugh!
Andrew: Ew! You’d do that with a demon?
Faith: Do you think you could just hide now?
Willow begins to chant.
Willow: The dimensions are set, let them break down, bring forth the warrior of the people. Let her in. Hecate, let her see, let her speak. The mission is set, let her slither in, break down the walls. Let her get to them.
Buffys eyes turn white.
Buffy: I can see them, all three of them. I cant hear them.
Willow: Try talking to them.
Buffy: Guys can you hear me?
Flash to Xander:
Xander: Buffy?
Flash to Dawn
Dawn: Buffy?
Flash to Spike.
Spike: Slayer?
Flash back to Buffy.
Buffy: Guys nod your heads if you can hear me. Good, now listen to me. You are there because of your fears, the things you see are your fears. Fight them and they will go away. The only way you are getting home is if you fight them. They can’t hurt you.
Flash to Glory holding Dawn by her throat.
Glory: She says I can’t hurt you, does it hurt Dawny?
Dawn disappears from Glory’s hand. She stands behind Glory.
Dawn: Not so much anymore.
Glory turns around.
Dawn: Buffy’s right, this is my fear, this is my dream. And now I have the power.
Dawn throws a high kick and Glory falls from the tower. Dawn flips off the tower to the bottom.
Glory: How did you do that?
Dawn: Not sure, but since this is my dream now, I’m going to give me all the power, and do to you what I’ve always wanted to do.
Glory: And that is?
Dawn: This.
Dawn spin kicks Glory back into the tower. Dawn walks over and picks Glory up by the throat.
Dawn: How do you like it? I’m the evil one? You’re wrong Glory. I’m not a little girl either, I’m growing up. I’m not playing the little girl part anymore.
Dawn throws Glory away from the tower.
Flash to Xander in Basement.
Xanders Father: Don’t listen to her son, I can give you the normal life you’ve wanted.
Xander: No, I don’t want a normal life. I want *my* life.
Xanders Father: You’re willing to accept what you did? Willing to go on punishing yourself for all of that?
Xander: I didn’t do it dad. It was meant to be. Everything happens for a reason. How dare you come here and tell me that everything that’s happened in the past is my fault?
Xanders Father: Boy when you had that dream about me ripping out your heart, I wish it was real.
Xander: In the past dad, its all in the past. I’m tired of living in fear of it, I’m living, I am alive. I’ve survived God knows how many apocalypses, and you say its my fault. I know what I have to do to get out of here.
Camera flash to Spike. He is standing next to the girl. He is looking around.
Spike: Slayer? Where are you?
Buffy: (VO) Keep fighting guys, fight it!
Drusilla: Poor girl doesn’t realize what you are does she spike?
Spike: No Dru, I don’t think you do.
Spike kicks Drusilla across the crypt.
Spike: I have a soul now Dru. I am not a killer, whatever you really are, or whatever this place is, I’m taking control now.
Drusilla: Are you willing to die for her?
Spike picks a piece of wood up off the floor. He walks over to Drusilla.
Spike: I am. Because….I’m in love with her.
Drusilla: She doesn’t love you.
Spike: Maybe, maybe not.
Drusilla: You will die when the time comes.
Spike: We all gotta die sometime Dru.
Spike stakes Drusilla, bright lights fly out of her.
Camera flash to Dawn and Glory.
Glory: You gonna kill me like he did?
Dawn: You mean she?
Glory: No, your friend Giles, he killed Benny boy, and then it killed me.
Dawn: Giles killed Ben?
Glory: Not surprised he didn’t tell you, Ben was innocent.
Dawn: But you’re not.
Dawn disappears and reappears behind Glory.
Dawn: Boy I could get used to this power stuff.
Dawn snaps Glory’s neck.
A big bright flash of light flies out of Glory.
Camera shoot to basement with Xander and his father.
Xander: Dad there comes a time in every man’s life, where he has just got to let go.
Xanders Father: huh?
Xander: I know seeing me living a life is hard for you, and gosh doesn’t it-
Xander grabs his fathers chest and pulls his heart out. A tear falls down Xanders cheek.
Xander: - rip your heart out that I’ve moved on.
A bright light flies out of Xanders father.
Camera flash to magic box. A flash of bright white light illuminates the room.
Xander, Dawn, and Spike fall from the sky. They pick themselves up, as Andrew gets out from underneath the counter.
Buffy: Are you guys okay?
Dawn: I’m fine now, even better than before.
Spike: I killed Dru.
Xander: I killed my father…
Willow: Don’t worry, its just a dream world, what happened there has nothing to do with here.
Dawn: Damn, I kicked Glory’s ass.
Buffy: Yes you did. You did good there.
Dawn: *hopefully* So does that mean…?
Buffy: Don’t push it!
Dawn: But…! Kicking Glory-ass!
Buffy: I know, but honey, you’re still my sister. I don’t want to put you in that life and death situation.
Dawn: You won’t be! I’m old enough to know the consequences, and I’m old enough to choose if I wanna kick demon ass or go to college!
Faith: She’s right, B.
Buffy: So which is it?
Dawn: Well….uh….I’m all for both, really…
Willow: Oh, you’ll have so much fun! That’s what I did, and see how I turned out!
Everyone looks at her.
Willow: OK, so there was a minor blip…
Dawn: The point is - I’m not a little girl anymore.
Buffy: I know you’re not…
Buffy begins to tear up.
Buffy: And mom would be so proud of you. *pause* Ok, fine, but not too often, okay? We still have to get you into college, thank god for my questionably-limitless supply of cash…
Dawn hugs Buffy.
Dawn: Thank you.
Xander: Well isn’t that touching, but now I have to go home and wipe blood off my hands that isn’t even there.
Spike: And I feel the sudden urge to do some repenting…maybe a “Hail Mary” or two…..or twenty.
A fire explodes in the Magic Box, it turns into the Missionary.
Missionary: Who dared mess with my magicks?
Buffy: Me.
Willow: Uh, actually, it was kinda a group deal…
The Missionary looks at Willow.
Willow: No, wait, it was just a Buffy thing.
Missionary: You will die for this.
Faith: So now you can issue the threats, you know for a minion you're pretty damn demanding.
Missionary: I am no one’s minion.
Dawn: You were summoned.
Missionary: That I was.
Xander: By who?
Raven enters the Magic Box.
Raven: Me. However my dear, you failed the mission.
Missionary: I have no more power to give you. However since you have given me the scroll I shall be on my way.
Raven: Oh no you don’t.
Raven does several flips to the Missionary. She spin kicks him to the ground. He stands as she takes out her dagger and stabs him in the face.
Missionary: NO!
Raven grabs his head and snaps it as he explodes in flames.
She then picks up her dagger and the scroll on the floor.
Raven: Boy, stronger than I thought.
Faith: What do you want?
Raven: Nothing for now.
Buffy: You helped us?
Raven: Oh trust me, I wasn’t helping. It was me who set this up, but I didn’t want him leaving with what is mine.
Andrew: You mentioned a scroll…
Kennedy: I’m guessing it’s powerful.
Raven: Trust me honey, you have no idea.
Raven runs out of the Magic Box and down the street.
Giles: Well, she was pleasant. Dawn I’m glad your safe, as well you Xander and uh, Spike.
Dawn: I know what you did to Ben.
Buffy: Ben?
Dawn: Glory’s other half, Ben. You almost dated him!
Buffy: Right, him….was that before or after Riley?
Giles: Can we not discuss it now?
Buffy: What, Riley?
Giles: Ben.
Dawn: They need to know.
Camera zoom out of Magic Box slowly, no audio is heard from within.
The camera zooms fast through town and into the caves again.
Shoot to Raven handing Amy the scroll.
Raven: Here’s your scroll. I assume you think my work here is finished?
Amy: Far from it. I still need a few things before we can do - well you know, *it*.
Raven: What are they?
Amy: I’ll tell you in time. Why did you give me the scroll?
Raven: I felt it was time, whatever this thing is, the Slayer’s and their friends, they are stronger than we thought, than I thought. They are willing to die for each other and what they believe in. I’m going along with your plan but with the understanding that you will start telling me things, agreed?
Amy: Agreed.
Raven: Good.
Camera flash to Interior Summers house (living room). Buffy and Giles are sitting on the couch. No audio is heard, the song “Little Earthquakes” by Tori Amos is playing over the scene.
Giles and Buffy sit in silence. They are looking at each other.
Camera flash to Faith’s apartment, Dawn and Faith are training inside. The song is still heard.
Flash to Xander’s apartment. Spike is packing his things as Xander sits at the kitchen table looking at a picture of Anya. Andrew is watching TV.
Flash to Willow’s bedroom. Kennedy and Willow lay in bed together just looking at each other.
Flash back to Buffy and Giles looking at each other. The screen goes black.
Grrr….Arrrgh…..

as the storyline takes its little twists and bends....you gotta tweek your script. Like I had to take something out of ep four because of something one of the previous writers had written, and I got to add a scene cause of the xander arc...

and at the time they were promoting skittles sours - extra sour flavoured skittles. So at the beginning of the show and at every ad break they would have this little skittle sitting there moaning about how stupid the show was!
*skittle hopping along, speaking in deadpan voice* "I'm a demon raised from the dead. *reaches sunlight and falls on his back* Oh dear, I've been killed. I'm completely pointless."
"And what's with all the sucking? Can't vampires handle solids?"
*sarcastic voice* "Awwww, dear, she broke another nail!"

While I'm posting, THAT WAS A BRILLIANT FANTASTIC WONDERFUL MAGNIFICENT EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant brilliant brilliant loved it! Especially the Xander and Dawn bits - Dawn's excitement at kicking Glory's a$$ and Xander's line "Doesn't it just rip your heart out that I've moved on?" Faith manhandling the moving guy, Raven "giving it" to Amy, that creepy Missionary (very cool bad guy), Andrew asking for the magic book, Giles calling Raven "pleasant", Willow telling Dawn that she fought demons and went to college and "look how I turned out!" Hee hee hee! This is an episode of gems! Loved it!

Just out of curiosity, how did you guys manage the co-writing aspect? Like did one of you write the first half, and one write the second half, or did you meet in a chat so you could talk really quickly without having to wait for emails, and write it there? Or did you do something else? Im just curious cause whatever you guys did, it seemed to work!

Faithsguy wrote a pretty darn snazzy original (we'll call it the first draft). I read it through, and felt stuff was missing - i added some jokey bits in (the Willow bit about fighting demons & going to college, Faith faux-coming on to Xander, Buffy not remembering Ben), and rewrote some dialogue, specifically the stuff about Xander "killing Tara", and both the scenes where Buffy and Dawn talk about her Slaying. I just basically meddled really! Faithsguy did the hard work, with the plot line, he deserves the most credit...

ABM I read in a recent thread that you were almost completed with writing your episode 14. Well I'm writing episode 15 so do you think when you're done with it you can send it to me? That way I can start writing my episode and since episode is such a huge episode with things I know I'll have to reference, it will be a great launching point for me. I know I will have to change things according to what episodes before mine that haven't 'aired' say, but I know school is going to get very hard in the next few weeks with it ending, so I want to write the blunt of the story now and then I can do rewrites later. But it will be a big help if you could email me your script so it'll just be that much more I won't have to redo. Thanks!!

I have an idea for my episode that even includes a guest star! But yeah see lol that's why it's a good idea to read yours first before I start writing. Ooh I'm excited to read what happens now! I can shift and change things as needed, my episode idea is pretty loose so hopefully it will have room for all the Big arc-y stuff your ep will have! I think it does help my episode is a stand-alone, though.

I read a little more than the last page and that last line was soo good! It kinda gave me the chills, knowing what that certain character who said the line had to go through with the character he said it about lol, vague enough for ya? I actually think I kind of know where to take it and how my episode can go from there, but I'll read the rest of the episode to know what's up. So far it sounds great!
Oh and what was that paragraph after "end of episode?" Was that a preview for next episode or just an extra bit of scene that got mixed? I wasn't sure.
