I want to recommend the discussion forums at www.alternet.com

Much more complex than our forum, but good-hearted and intelligent discussion; I have read a number of postings saying that others have found these forums to be truly congenial compared to previous experiences where folks indulge all kinds of hostile and hurtful impulses. The forums at alternet are monitored and that kind of stuff is not allowed.

It is a venue for all kinds of sharing of info and opinion, worth a visit. When you go to the site, there will be a listing of articles, and up to the right an option for commenting on the article you call up; this will connect you to the forums.
