Thanks again for the welcome. It feels good to come out!
The touch therapy was quite simple. The one receiving it lay on the floor on her or his back, and all the others in the room (there were five of us, plus Sandra) gently grasped either a hand, foot or head. Sandra placed her hands over various chakras, and the receiver was encouraged to speak whatever came to them, or let out any reaction they had to the touch or the process itself. Sandra transmitted a great deal of energy...
I personally found being touched wonderfully soothing, and got in touch with how badly handled I was as a child--how my parents (esp. mother) held me with great anxiety-- their touch was alarming, not comforting to a baby. As I relaxed into the loving touch I was being offered, we all got into a space of joined Being-or, perhaps, became aware of the energetic and conscious sharing we all exist in- and everyone got really relaxed and trippy.
When I finally sat up, I was too stoned on the energy to even move--just blasted. I could feel my etheric body...and I felt so open and loving towards everyone in the room. We were all lit up and glowing...and everyone else then took a turn, and it seemed to affect everyone very deeply.
It not only released a lot of my anxiety about being touched, but broke through into areas of abandonment issues that felt like core issues to me---although those did not arise until we were driving home, and then I burst into tears and was able to see that whole issue with clarity. I have been continuing to work on it since.
It's also released a lot of my self-consciousness about my body, and helped me drop down further into being in a body--I've lived in my head a great deal for most of my life. The important piece here, I believe, is that an adept was in charge of the situation, and that it was handled so cleanly, with so much love, and with such divine intent. These things done with a lot of ego seem to hurt rather than help. THis was a delicious and tender cleansing through love. I highly recommend it. Feels to me like when you offer your embodied self up in this way to love, your body seems more like a holy embodiment of Self instead of just the usual fleshy form dragging around against gravity and you view it differently and feel it differently. At least, that's what happened to me.
