Dear Gill, just found your little message, "thanks"....somtimes I'm slow on the uptake. I one time was walking on the beach in Santa Cruz and there was a beached sea lion being watched over by some Parks official. As I walked past, the sea lion moved a flipper as though it was reaching out to me and I said "Oh! It's still alive!" I just stood there and felt all my sorrow and reached out with my whole being to that other creature lying there and held it in my heart, and instantly was flooded with the most beautiful, and the most IMPERSONAL love I think I have ever experienced, as though Being Herself was also holding us both and soothing and consuming all our pain and sorrows. Then I walked on in trust that the sea lion was truly being taken care of in a mysterious way that I could trust...although my pain about animals was still with me. I would love to hear more from you!***Kyla
