Subject: List of formerly unnoticed ways to avoid the pain of the core/conscious wound

I would like everyone who's uncovered some of their own to
list them, so each of us gets a chance to see if one or more
of the ones on the list is one of our own previously
unnoticed auto-triggers for avoiding this pain of this
bodily existence.

I'll start with a few of my own.

1. Boredom and reluctance.

My being bored can be a disassociation with Identity as the
Absolute (which I formerly hid in) and my reluctance in
sharing is a lack-of-confidence (vase shard) disassociation
with our (floor of) Mutuality.

2. "Intensifying" the Conscious Principle

Once the Absolute is noticed, then established, it can be a
great relief to hide in It, to the exclusion of Everything.

3. Deflection by humor.

Jay Leno said all humor comes from pain. If someone is
trying to hold me or wants to be held, to disengage, and
throw him/her back toward her/his separate self, I can
create a little witticism (or would that be half-witticism.)
Another: "The only time I don't have my foot in my mouth is
when I switch feet." Or: Let's hope my personal list of
Governing Sentimentalities doesn't turn into the equivalent
of counting each hair on my head.

4. Stepping on another person's toes.

Something unconsidered, unauspicious and unnecessary
spontaneously pops out of my mouth and by the time I've
uttered the last word, a psychic (sometimes even physical)
shudder runs through my body as I recognize/realize
(YIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKES! Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa) I actually said
THAT? How distance-making was that on my part. . . .

5. Fear [of (loss {of separate identity})].

As Ted put it: You are on a planet where most every thing
and most every being creeps you out. And most you come in
contact with have told you that if you show that you are
creeped out (even to yourself), you'll be eaten alive. But
it shows anyway. It is very clear to some of us that you are
feeling creeped out here (because you display a transparent
screen of hypervigilance). It is my job as adept (and the
community's job as adept) to tell and show you that you
won't be eaten alive. So now I can notice how hypervigilance
is a G.S. avoidance (but not really) of pain of any kind.

~~~
I'll post more here as I recognize them.
~~~

PLEASE add to this list so we'll better see ourselves.
