I am beginning an investigation into this matter and will report on my ongoing insights (ever open to change, especially in response to insights of yours that you share on this Forum).
Please note that i am just thinking out loud here...exploring....not proclaiming any certainty about anything!!!!!! So, in that context only, here are a few hypotheses:
the really important stuff--such as for example existence, and all the splendors of Creation, including the galaxies, the biosphere and all natural forms "sentient" or "insentient" (if there be such), love, great music, great art (of all kinds), great sex, great friendship, great humor, great icecream, great buttered toast, great cuddling, good health, investigating and contemplating and appreciating all of the above--are all pointless, meaningless, totally impractical, useless and unreasonable (or a-reasonable, as in "a-moral") "things"/processes/activities. This does not, however, imply that they are worthless or valueless. On the contrary, these are the things having the greatest value of all, intrinsic value!
It is the practical, useful stuff, (stuff that can often be measured, and which takes up so much of our time and energy, like making money and producing products of all kinds, including books about "Waking Down"), which is the secondary stuff, which has a "point"--namely to serve and support and promote the continuance of the intrinsically valuable and "pointless" stuff!
This is just the first step in my investigation of this subject, to be continued waaaay more and hopefully enlarged and deepened greatly by you......**ellen**
