 Like the lull before a hailstorm, we're all hunkered down here waiting...the lake is still, dusky and opaque, reflecting the omnious sky. A leaf stirs and settles down again over toward the shore. We're just sitting here on this porch, nursing the last of our drinks and waiting...a sense of seamlessness among us (fortunately we don't live together), the only sound the slow creak of the rockers. The silence becomes luminous in the sharing. It feels so good to be here.
