Ben, I think you are sincere here. I have to bow to you. I couldn't and don't have such charitable feelings about others appearing more wonderful than me. I honor you in this and confess that there is a part of me that wants to be the most wonderful and most loved person in the world. That's probably why I blather on so much. Wanting attention.

Wanting attention is not OK in our world. I feel a lot of guilt and shame about it. I've been reading in The Incarnation of Mutuality about the Core Wound being Self inflicted (capital S). Does this mean that this shame and guilt is mistaken? Does this mean that there really isn't something horribly wrong with me? Does this mean that I get to love even that part of me that wants attention?

I am beginning to think that the answer to these questions is "Yes". What are your thoughts?
