For all those under 35 there is not going to be much in the way of work when Brid finally becomes a retirement village with all the "Leeds on Sea" folk that find Brid a nice little town to curl up and die in. IT IS NOT. I have lived here most of my 35 years and have found that there is no real future for the young in this town. Many have tried and failed to setup small businesses because the suport has just not been there from the "Leeds on Sea" people who have no interest in expanding or promoting this wonderful town.
If this town is to survive and grow, it MUST have a new venture to push it forward into the 21st century and the Marina is just such a venture. Yes it is going to cost, No it is not going to happen overnight but it must be carefully managed, invested in and supported by all. Well "J Forsdyke" I am pretty sure that the Marina will bring in more than 10 full time and 20 seasonal jobs. Consider the restaurants, shops, hotels and cafe's that already exist here, their work load will increase with the extra visitors as well as the Marina itself.

This town is slowly dieing and will continue to do so if something is not done soon.

We now live in one of the most deprived areas of East Yorkshire and I for one feel that action is needed NOW before its too late or have the people in this town just stopped caring.......
