One of the flowers she needed to order today was mini carnations. So, she called up the farm in south america that we use and learned that WALMART BOUGHT THEM ALL! All we can get ahold of now is our existing standing order. So now, because of Walmart, florists all around the country are going to have difficulty getting ahold of a very common and needed product. Two weeks ago I was required to go purchase a bunch of camp supplies from Walmart. My "boss" and I played rock paper scissors to see who had to go. (Good ol' rock...nothing beats rock...) I lost, so I spent *THREE HOURS* in the Walmart buying all the shit. I had two cartloads. I spent over $300 of company money. The halfwit cashier had to call *three* other people to help her figure out how to enter my credit card number by hand when *she* desensitized our card by laying it on the Sensormatic. It took half an hour to check out. In that time I tried to think of ways I might maim myself with the objects I'd just purchased--beating myself about the head with a big bag of walmart brand raisins started to seem like a more interesting pasttime than waiting for that fool to finish.
