Subject: "Ineffectual Signings"

O.M. is at it again. Apparently Hayden has has not signed effective players. Well, here is a list of the players he has directly signed as a result of his own efforts and no-one else's. I don't claim that it's complete but it will give an indication of the work the man has put in. It's up to everyone to decide as to their efficacity. Here we go:

Frankland, Healey, Davenport, Gibson, Cecil, Lock, Quinton, Evans, Harrison, Stassinos, Kingsford, Brauer-Jones, Moses, Alger, Aschner, Dickson, Bower, Greene, Golding, Ellis, Sorenson, Mitchell, McDonald, Glasgow.

Not all were success stories in my view but do you get everything right in life O.M.? If so, you must be very successful indeed. The unfortunate Barry Kingsford never kicked a ball for us in the League of course but we will see what he can do next season all being well.

Obviously, as far as new players are concerned, the Manager will make his own decisions as he will about any players to be released, We will all have our opinions about that if indeed it is necessary to release four players.

O.M., you've already got one thing wrong since the season ended by stating that every other [promoted] club did better than us. Not so. I now predict that you will also be proved wrong about your beloved rumours concerning players who are leaving. I suspect that you're the main man spreading them.
