Subject: Kids From Wisconsin


If you see this posting in time today, and want to attend, there will be two shows presented by the Kids From Wisconsin at the Overture Center (on State Street) over in Madison today, August 16.

These two shows today are the very last of their 2024 season which included 11 consecutive days of performances of their 90-minute show at the Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis earlier this month.

At 4:00 pm a free show for those who are autistic, have disabilities and vision issues. See link here:

There just may likely be a future Miss La Crosse/Oktoberfest or Miss Onalaska and Miss Milwaukee among this year's group of talented women performers.

If at the show, keep an eye on sopranos Makayla Taylor of La Crosse County, dressed in green during a Broadway production number from Shrek, as well as Izabel Nettey, a native of Menomonee Falls. Both future pageant prospects.

But interestingly (and totally shocking considering who the Kids From Wisconsin are and how many talented women from all over Wisconsin has joined this entertainment tour group), the last member to compete in the Miss America-Miss Wisconsin program was exactly 30 years ago when four-year Kids from Wisconsin member Laura Voss was Miss Green Bay and became Miss Wisconsin 2024.
