And also, local committees have moved their dates to accommodate their titleholder to compete for another title for years. While yes, this isn't an ideal scenario, I find it a better option than having the titleholder resign her title to compete for another. You also have to remember that many times the date a local holds their competition is dictated by when the venue where it's being held is available.
