Over the years since 1949 several women who competed in the Alice in Dairyland program (which began in 1948) had previously been a contestant in the Miss Wisconsin system or would later earn a title to compete for Miss Wisconsin.

Olivia J. Lulich of Juneau County, is the first woman to compete for the coveted Alice in Dairyland title who previously competed in the Miss Wisconsin's Outstanding Teen and the Miss Wisconsin Teen-USA programs.


Here is the complete listing from 1949 to 2025 of the pageant and Alice in Dairyland cross-over candidates.

Noted below is the year they competed for the Alice title, and pageant titles they had before or after being in the Alice in Dairyland program are detailed below.


1949---Shirley June Johnson (previously was the West Allis entrant in the 1946 Miss Wisconsin pageant)

1952---Jeannie Eleanore Huston (was later appointed Miss Wisconsin 1952 since there was no state organization to sponsor and stage a Miss Wisconsin competition to send a Wisconsin entrant to Miss America in 1952)

1954---Janet Elizabeth Keifer (later was named Miss Green Bay 1955)

1954---Mary-Ann Bendel (later was named Miss Wausau 1956)

1955---Mary-Ann Bendel (later was named Miss Wausau 1956)

1955---Mary Maxine Seelig (later was named Miss Hayward 1955)

1956---Doris Arlene Olsen chosen as Alice in Dairyland 1956 (previously was Miss Green County 1955)

1959---Charlotte Ann Gibson (later was named Miss Madison 1961)

1960---June Ellen Ramthun (later was named Miss Wisconsin Valley 1960)

1960---Mary Ellen Forcier (later was named Miss Eau Claire 1963)

1960---Joan Mary Engh chosen as Alice in Dairyland 1960 (previously was Miss West Wisconsin 1959, and was later named Miss La Crosse 1962 and Miss Wisconsin 1962)

1961---Carol Jean Anderson chosen as Alice in Dairyland 1961 (later was named Miss Madison 1963)

1962---Lu Ann Hyland (later was named Miss Wausau 1963)

1964---Mary Ann Hartman (previously was named Miss Manitowoc 1963)

1965---Kathleen Ann Kenas (previously was named Miss Ripon 1963)

1967---Cheryl (Cheri) Diane LaValley (later was named Miss Eau Claire 1968)

1968---Roberta (Bobbie) Jean Thoreson (previously was named Miss West Allis 1967)

1971---Ruth Ellen White (later was named Miss Janesville 1973)

1972---Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Cramer (previously was named Miss Ozaukee County 1971)

1973---Mary Arlene Hopkins chosen as Alice in Dairyland 1973 (previously was named Miss Rice Lake 1971)

1974---Cynthia (Cindy) Marie Basler (previously was named Miss Oshkosh 1973)

1974---Diane May Sotski (previously was named Miss Saint Francis 1971)

1975---Nancy Janine Wavra (previously was Miss Portage 1974, and was later named Miss Madison 1976)

1979---Cynthia (Cindy) Marie Basler (previously was Miss Oshkosh 1973)

1982---Darlene June O'Hara (previously was named Miss Oconomowoc 1981)

1995---Jennifer Lynn Green (previously was named Richland County 1990)

2014---Allyson Diane Binversie (previously was named Miss Green Bay 2013)
(Her mother, Stephanie Rochelle Roth Binversie, was Alice in Dairyland of 1989)

2025---Olivia J. Lulich (previously was named Miss Harbor Cities' Outstanding Teen 2018 and was later named Miss Wisconsin Teen-USA 2020)
