Ok, So I swore on my life that I would never get on one of these web page chat things. I guess there is growing market for the stat freaks (directed at kyle.....Freight Train....Mclean...we need to talk my friend), to vent, add or just fill their head with more and more stuff about running. BUt you know what that is what it will take to get us at the level that we all dream and talk about on these things. The more we talk about and inquire and discuss the running thing maybe the more important it will become.

It is funny how people who do not understand the sport will scoff and laugh at those people whose goal is to graduate so they can train!!!, get a job, hell no, TRAIN!!!, with the exception of Mr. McLean, whose job I still don't really understand, it's hard, unless you are a marquee player, to make a living and run hard for a living during your peak years. I think of the likes of Fonseca, Reid (who went to Alabama for a semester by the way) and others who have been able to do it whether it be they are a smooth talker or what. Fast times, especially for FOnseca in the more socially acceptable marathon, can get great exposure when he talks a big game. YOU KNOW WHAT I AM rambling. THe real reason that i wrote in was to address Pistol's pretty ignorant ranking system (I say that with most respect, my fellow londoner) of the best worst or whatever that thing meant.

Its funny how St. Francis made that list, they have had three guys over the last couple of years that have gone there and WORKED HARD (key ingredient I might add) and are now respected as a good school for canadians to go to. Yet do not have the longevity or the same amount of Canadians at the school to even come close to comparing them with the others mentioned

LETS LOOK AT ONE OF THE BIGGEST MYTHS CANADIANS SCREW THEMSELVES WITH!!!!

1. "If it's not a full-ride, or 100% it's not worth it". That's the greatest advice eh!, with out naming any schools we all know that no matter how much you sweat when it is hot anyone can get their school paid for in the US with a scholarship. ITs the same dumb ass's who come home and say the degree they got is worth nothing blah blah blah.

ACADEMICS IS BETTER IN CANADA. (I AM CANADIAN, I BLEED THE DARKEST RED AND WHITE) (and a little green). But lets stop the arrogance. We go an extra year in high school. Everyone of you guys honestly look me in the eye and tell me that your first year of University was not challenging one bit, and I don't just mean the southern women, I mean the classes. I will tell you this, Canada puts such a scar on the face of American schooling because of the inclusion of athletics, but I will tell you this, I have been in the US for 7 years, and I don't know about you guys but I have not once seen school being closed down because of strikes or contract disputes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Teachers are my idols and I would not be here (where am I??) today if it was not for teachers, I know Pistol and Freightliner, freight train whatever, know who I am talking about, but c'mon. They have a thing in the US called AP (advanced placement) classes which are equivalent to the now defunct OAC days.

RIDDLE ME THIS!!, FOr every kid that has been mentioned on the list as ammunition to the fact that the school they attended are on the hot list for american schools, there are all of the kids that went and did not do as well.

A COACH IS A COACH!!!

It is always funny when a kid returns to Canada or speaks bad about a program. I have adopted the theory that anyone who first blames a coach for not running fast or the reason for leaving 99.9% it is the ATHLETE themselves who is to blame. THe coach does not put them to bed when they need to, tell them that dollar beer night does not apply to them, tell them they should wake up in the morning and run and do situps and all the other things that make you better.

I CAN THINK OF some people who went to smaller schools and have done pretty darn well. I am not very smart (stop laughing McLEan) but I think that Lynn Williams, and Angela Chalmers went to small dII or DIII schools and I think had a great time running for the RED AND WHITE......underfunded or not.

WELL, I respect and admire everyone of you on here with names I can put a face too. I am actually supposed to be on here researching plane tickets and stumbled onto this page (Well Coach Cleary said that some McLean guy was on here) so I checked it out.

I will not ever return again, so long friends happy trails.

I MUST SAY that this page is great, it is better then some of the embarrassing sites that popped up over the years, when they are excited about National champions over here and Canada was posting results from the BEER MILE or the party after CI's.

OK ready to rip on me READY SET..........GO!
