Hello everyone. Hey, this is a cool place!
I got into a little argument with a sarado Kristiyano in a Pinoy website but it's nothing new of course as I am surrounded by such at home. All of a sudden I was grateful for all the years of domestic practice, I have become tolerant! I do believe that there is no concrete evidence that Jesus existed and a lot of Bible content is based on pagan myth (such as resurrection). For all we know, the Pagans created him. Anyway, the book "Jesus and the Lost Goddess: The Secret Teachings of the Original Christians" seems to enlighten some about it, although I have only read what people have quoted from it because it's not the kind of issue I have. There is also a book by Elaine Pagel, "Beyond Theology". This is not to discredit the Bible, though. If we were to go beyond theology, would it even matter in the first place? What matters is that we get the lessons of the Bible and not use it as a way of forgetting the Grandest Vision of Who We Really Are.
Does Tato Malay check this site? I would like a copy of the Pope's speech in Mexico a few years back when he said that there is no hell. I might as well frame that thing and hang it up my office, in case anyone comes in to argue with me.
This woman seemed to be the one arguing with me because I used the name of Jesus in vain, I should be repentant, there's something called "sin", it is wrong to be too happy (Oh my God - I almost forgot this Catholic belief!) and so on and so forth, ad nauseous. She wanted me to leave Jesus out when she was the one who wrote tons about it. I told her I didn't mind having him around that egroup.
What good came out of it? Of course, I was the good that came out of it! hahahaha! I began to tell her that she can search A Course In Miracles, Ferrini, CWG and this HVF site through the web. Now that advertisement has reached 1,400 of that egroup's members all over the Phils and abroad.
I'm just too happy!
