No moreso than any other slash. It's just that I just don't *see* Jack and Daniel as being together on the show. However, I hardly even see Sam/Jack, and that seems to be practically canonical according to my Stargate friends. Maybe I'm just not watching the right episodes.

The J/D I was referring to was actually rather good; it *wasn't* fluffy, very intentionally and specifically so. The writer(s) believe in strong!Daniel and alpha!Jack, and write everyone pretty much IC. But Joyce, being new to fanfic, was a little shocked, bless her little asterisk heart. :)
