Subject: On the moronic FF.net Management

Guys, you've got to note two things:

1: The management of FF.net cracks down hard on whoever disobeys their laws. You know the law that prohibits chatspeak in the story and reviews? Well, it applies to author's notes too, and to their NC-17 law. The goal is to remove sex scenes, more or less. If ANYTHING has a sex scene in it, they aren't going to read it and measure the 'graphic'ness of it. They're just going to delete it, plain and simple, like Ghost said. How graphic a lemon is would be subjective, anyway, and not agreeable to some people. If the author in question wrote several R fics that contained lemons, it wouldn't be a far cry for FF.net to just wipe her off. No milk-and-water policies for 'em.

2: The management of FF.net is about as effective and aware of their surroundings as Dilbert's boss. Several badfic authors warned me that they would report me to the administration when I was criticizing/flaming. Fat chance (My flaming might have been legitimate, though, it offered 'well-rounded' criticism). The admins aren't as effective as they are in traditional forums.
On the flipside of the coin, however, my flaming partner Born4Glory posted a fic in which the DBZ characters kill the Sailor Moon ones, albeit in a very gory manner. He also posted several chapters containing nothing but author's notes directly afterwards (which of course is violation of the TOS). His story was promptly reported and deleted. He continued to post it afterwards, without the author's notes, but it continued to get reported and deleted. There was absolutely no reason at all. Not one. He removed EVERY author's note, right down to the ones at the beginning and end of the story, and he posted it as the appropriate R rating. This continued for about three more times, and then he gave up.

My guess is that somebody reported all of her lemons at once. The staff then took a look at all of them, shrugged, and wiped her off. This would explain why her money was refunded, which a hacker probably couldn't (or wouldn't) do.
