INT – GRAVE YARD – NIGHT Faith cautiously wonders through the graveyard clutching an axe at her side as something watches from the shadows. VOICE Raraaaaaaaaaarh! The shape jumps from the shadows and leaps at Faith she casually snaps her arm to the side and sends them falling to the ground ANDREW Ow! EXT – BOSTON STREET – NIGHT Connor and Dawn are slowly walking through the streets on their way back to Faith’s DAWN You think things are gonna be awkward between us? CONNOR No DAWN Just like that? She holds both his shoulders and flips herself over him so that she can kick him down from behind. VAMPIRE Your time will come Hunter DAWN Is he talking to you? CONNOR Not really focused on what they’re saying right now The vampire Dawn is fighting, charges at her angrily – she rolls her eyes as he runs straight into the end of a stake DAWN That was pathetic Connor does the “Angel” move and puts both arms out to the side staking two vampires at once. CONNOR You okay? DAWN I like this CONNOR Killing? DAWN No, this. We make good friends CONNOR I guess DAWN Good friends it’s probably best (pause) You know, for now Dawn continues to walk out of the alley CONNOR Right. (sigh) for now CUT TO. INT – BOSTON ROYAL COURT ROOM – EARLY MORNING Ryan is stood nervously with Maria and Wesley as the Guards come to collect him from the lock up dock. RYAN Can I have a minute? The Guards nod and wait by the door RYAN Just stick to the truth right? WESLEY You’ll do fine RYAN Really because everything I’ve eaten, like, ever – it feels like it’s about to make a comeback MARIA Okay firstly gross and second here Maria takes a small pendant from around her neck and hands it to Ryan RYAN What’s this? MARIA It’s a gypsy pendant – it’s been passed through four generations of my family and – it’s brings you good luck RYAN I hardly know you MARIA That’s not important RYAN (long pause) Thank you (sigh) Well, away I go WESLEY We’ll see you in the trial RYAN Okay. Thanks. WESLEY We’ll do this Ryan RYAN Yeah As Ryan leaves Wesley collapses into a chair and tears his hands through his hair. WESLEY Argh! MARIA That doesn’t sound too encouraging WESLEY It’s not MARIA You think we can do this right? WESLEY I have no Idea…something is creeping over me, something tense MARIA Tense? Maria’s eyes light up WESLEY What? MARIA Am I ugly? WESLEY No, what makes you ask such a thing you’re a very attractive woman MARIA Good enough for me Maria grabs Wesley by the collar and leads him off seductively as they pass into the “private bathroom” of his waiting room. EXT – IVY’S HOUSE – DAY Connor is sat on the street opposite staring at the place that turned his life around. He stares with confusion, yet still has a certain need and want in his eyes – that is of course until Ivy (the plant, not the person) starts growing at a rapid pace around the windows and door and walls. CUT TO. INT – COURT ROOM – DAY Dawn stands nervously in the witness dock as Maria and Thalia hold hands from the sidelines. Wesley is talking to Ryan one last time as the judge enters. CUT TO. EXT – IVYS HOUSE – DAY Connor walks around to the back garden, climbing over the wall. He steps through the garden and stops at the place in which Ivy was killed. CONNOR Nothing He looks to the floor where there’s no blood, no marks, no nothing. Stepping up to the back door as the Ivy continues to grow he spots through the window that everything is back to normal. Nothing is broken or misplaced. CUT TO. EXT – BOSTON ROYAL COURT – DAY Faith is running up the steps as Andrew pays the cab driver FAITH This year slug boy ANDREW Faith… FAITH Come on! ANDREW Faith! FAITH What? ANDREW Demon! Faith turns only to be smacked down by a demon almost instantly ANDREW Oh crap! FAITH Andrew – weapon! The demon charges at Faith and lifts her above the ground hurling her into the stairs where she smashes her head and lays unconscious. The demon turns and snarls at Andrew ANDREW Nice demon, go play in the road or something Andrew is slowly backing away as the demon comes closer to him CUT TO. INT – IVY’S HOUSE – DAY Connor is slowly creeping through the house, dagger at hand – he hears a light humming from up the stairs – the only place with no light. CUT TO. INT – BOSTON COURT – DAY RYAN (getting angry) No, that’s not what happened damn it! OPPOSITION And would you say you lose your temper often? CUT TO. EXT – BOSTON COURT – DAY Andrew is now running backwards, literally sprinting in reverse as the demon comes for him – of course being a demon it catches up with him. Andrew’s first instinct is to throw himself on the floor and play dead. As he does, the demon doesn’t find the brain function to stop and he falls straight back into the road and under a truck. FAITH (coming round) Andrew… ANDREW It’s okay (panting) He’s dead FAITH You killed him ANDREW N…yeah, I did FAITH Well, alright Andrew! Scooby snacks for you ANDREW Yay Andrew! CUT TO. INT – BOSTON COURT – DAY JUDGE Court adjourned we will regroup at fifteen and twenty Wesley, Maria, Thalia and Dawn walk out to the lobby. All a pile of nerves. Faith and Andrew rush in from the side FAITH What did we miss? DAWN It’s going to hell FAITH How so? WESLEY I don’t understand nothing’s going to plan – Ryan’s not saying any of the right thing he keeps losing his temper THALIA This isn’t like him, like at all DAWN I know it doesn’t make any sense – why is he saying those things? CUT TO. INT – IVYS HOUSE – DAY Connor reaches the very top room of the house – it’s filled with darkness except for the light from a flickering television. There in the corner is Ivy. She’s sat with a book in her hands laughing. Hundreds of wires leave the television. As Connor gets closer he sees the images on the camera are linked to the CCTV in the court room. CONNOR Ivy, it’s me. IVY I knew you’d come back for me END OF PART THREE INT – BOSTON COURT – DAY Thalia, Faith, Andrew and Maria return to the sideline. Dawn is now up in the witness box ready to give her evidence as Ryan and Wesley look on anxiously. DAWN I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth (pause) So help me God CUT TO. INT – IVYS HOUSE – DAY IVY You love me truly and you’re here for me CONNOR I don’t love you Ivy. I don’t love. Nobody loves you and nobody ever has or ever will it’s painfully clear to me now. IVY You know nothing CONNOR I know enough. Ryan doesn’t deserve to go through years of prison for rejecting you. I don’t deserve to be in so much pain – which ever guy broke your heart however many life times ago, whoever drove you to this…to forcing people into a false love – they’re the ones who deserve the pain not us. IVY (laughing) Nice speech Ivy launches herself at Connor who immediately ducks she falls flat to the floor and scrambles from the room and into the bathroom followed by Connor the whole way. She scrambles through the cabinet desperately seeking another love potion, knowing her natural spell will never work on him again. She scratches his face and attempts to force his mouth open. He kicks her off across the room and jumps on top of her holding her own mouth open. CONNOR Nobody will love anyone that can’t love his or herself! He pours the potion into Ivy’s throat and forces her to keep contact with mirror. IVY Don’t make me, please don’t ! I don’t deserve this… CONNOR You’re right and this potion – it’s only gonna help you half way. You’ll see something in yourself and if you don’t see it when the potion wears off then your screwed and not me or any spell can help you Ivy stares into the mirror as her appearance slowly returns to it’s original state from long before she cursed herself with immortality. CONNOR Now stop what ever is going on in that room! CUT TO. INT – BOSTON COURT ROOM – DAY JUDGE Have the jury reached a verdict? JURY HEADER Yes your honour JUDGE On the charge of the murder of Casey Becker do you find Ryan Hallow Dockerson guilty or not guilty? CUT TO. INT – IVY’S HOUSE – DAY CONNOR Hurry IVY I’m trying CUT TO.
