Haha, okay. This is my try...I hope I did this right. Oh, in line 2, think of "open" as one syllable. I didn't realize I had 11 in that line until after I wrote it.


The night was dark and the winds were so cold
As I stood waiting by the open window,
Thinking back to the mem'ries I still hold.
I thought my eyes would stay dry long ago,
And the mem'ries of you and I would fade,
But then it's all coming back to me now.
It's hard to believe the moments we've made,
Moments that always seemed right until now.
Lost long ago the instant that you left,
But now it is so hard to resist it.
Those empty threats and lies to which I'm deaf
Keep coming back to me, I will admit.
But if you'll forgive me what is now gone,
We can forgive and forget, and move on.
