Shakespeare's diction, word choice, conveys the season because of how he states that the yellow leaves, or none, or few do hang. He also shows that winter is coming because he describes how cold it is and how the day gets shorter and shorter. Time and season are significant in this sonnet because the sonnet compares how love can change from warm and bright like summer to cold and dark like winter. Thats how time and season are significant in this sonnet.
