Uhh... here I go.

Band used to be a class that I excelled
I played trombone and read an easy song
Then high school came and others are compelled
To beat me at what I’d played so long
To my demise many are much better
I cannot compete to their music skill
Many of them have gotten their letter
They must all have a musically strong will
But next year they’ll see a new musician
I’ll be in the top band with the others
Then I will have a higher position
Freshmen will look to me like a brother
For now I’ll accept not beating the rest
But next year I’ll be striving for the best.
