1. In his diction Shakespeare's diction excellently portrays the season with a description of the physical appearance of the earth of that time of season. For example he talks about yellow leaves and boughs which shake against the cold. With this the reader gets a sense of the setting in which Shakespeare feels he is in. It is a somewhat dark and gloomy seasonal enviroment.
2. The time and season in this sonnet describe the love and feeling he has with another person. The exact relationship is hard to grasp though for the reader. Who he adresses in
this sonnet might or might not find the same relationship that Shakespeare adresses. In some way the sonnet is almost like a 14 line question, compounded with figurative language.
