Shakespeare's diction describes the condition of things because of winter. For example, "When yellow leaves, or none, or few do hang
Upon these boughs which shake against the cold" shows the beginning of winter. Another example is the part where Shakespeare describes how the darkness of the night hides everything.

>Time and season are important because the season is kind of a life, slowly growing, from a baby to an adult. The part where Shakespeare tells about leaves barely holding onto the main branches of the trees tells how old life is. The part where sweetbirds used to sing on the branches of trees is kind of the childhood of life. In a way, Shakespeare is also writing about the life of the tree and how time and season affect its life.
