As mentioned before you must be in 5th gear. If memory serves, there are five switches that affect cruise---OD(5th gear sw.),clutch, hand brake, foot brake and a switch on top of the carbs. Some times you can trouble shoot the clutch and brake simply by pushing forward on the lever and see if the cruise engages. If they affect the cruise then you might simply be able to clean them....Good luck.....Gator Mike
