Sounds like you have the 1300 Voyager but typically the 1200 can be tamed in a number of ways which may apply to the 1300.
The steering head torque is generally the first port of call. On the 1200 its 95 INCH pounds.
Tyre type and pressure is important as is fork oil and air pressure.
Swinging arm bearings , rear tyre pressure and suspension air ,and oil all play a part.
The other place often forgotten is the front fork brace bolts. They can become loose. Steering bearings worn will also be a large factor.
