  • I think Silva accepted the risk of Digne v Tete 1:1 frequently to try to have Traore exploit the space Digne vacated. But Villas CBs and Midfield closed the space well and dropped as a compact unit on the odd time he was free in RW.   • I thought that was the difference. They pressurised us in posession very effectively, hence an over reliance on the long ball. I also thought Tete was exposed. Emery is a top coach. I wouldn't be surprised if they reached the last 8 of the Champions League or better. He has a record for winning European competitions.
