- I'd want neither. Viduka was good but is past it now. Beattie has never been as goos as he thinks he is. By this time next week we will boarding planes & trains,completely demoralised, laden with Toblerone, cuckoo clocks and massive hangovers, after having been knocked out of Europe knowing that we will never have a chance of going through to the last 32 of a major European competition ever again in our lifetimes.
We might never play a team of the likes of Juventus, Ajax, PSV, Atletico Madrid, Marseille, Benfica in a competitive match ever again.

So, first question is, who would of you had liked to play in the last 32 and secondly, where are we going next week??
Is it Basel, Basle, or even Basil?

ps. I`m a massive bock when it comes to predicting or betting on our results and I`ll be having a bottle(£200) on Fulham not to win before the game.

Burnley v Fulham

I thought Burnley were unlucky to lose at Portsmouth last weekend. It was a game that they possibly could have won, let alone drawn.

But what Burnley are doing is generally ensuring that in the match after a defeat they are picking up at least one point. This means they are avoiding long losing streaks - and this is the secret to staying in the Premier League.

Fulham are a very well coached side and excellent defensively - although they do have the odd hiccup away from home and are not quite the same without Andy Johnson in the side.

Verdict: 1-1

He lacks any real pace though ! Could we clone a player from one of our pacey ex players - Saha, Alan Clarke, Beddy Jezzard , what a difference that would make to the cutting edge. Clarke did not look fast, but he had a very long stride, & Jezzard was very quick, but his finishing was not always reliable, but far, far better than BZ. - We don't miss Andy Johnson really and we play a system that doesn't really allow for Johnson's pace in chasing long balls out of defence and getting goal side of the defender. Sure he closes down defenders quickly and does a lot of running about. What I like about him is he is a player who will poach a few close range goals, a point in case was his goal vs Spurs at home last year. Us Exiles have been reading TIFF the past couple of days and have read about the misfortune that young Joshfulham had with his Ipod. Pickn (Mike) came up with a brilliant idea to help Josh out and raise money to replace the young lads Ipod. It looks as if enough money was raised and Josh will be getting a new Ipod. Stuff like this makes me proud to say I am a Fulham Supporter and part of the "Fulham Family".
I had the pleasure of meeting Mike seven or eight years ago when I was back in England at "Hong Kong" Andy's going away do at the Crabtree. Mike's wife at the time if I remember was pregnant but was kind enough to taxi me back to the Putney Bridge Inn after closing time as I think maybe I had had one too many shandy's!
Well done Mike and EVERYONE that helped young Josh out.

That bunch rallied together with a large amount of donations to help save a little team of U14s playing football in a place called Rupanyup in Australia. One of the guys involved with that club is a lifelong Fulham supporter although he's an exile now. I just want to tell you how very touched Josh and the whole family are by the fantastic response on this site to the lad's mugging two nights ago. To confirm a couple of things: he's just 13, was mugged at knifepoint and had his i-touch stolen. Some of you may know that his grandad (my dad) is Brian Glanville who recently suffered a heart attack following the Athletico game at SB and subsequently underwent a quadruple bypass with valve repair. During the six weeks he was in hospital he was visited by Carmelo Mifsud from Fulham press office, phoned by Roy Hodgson and sent flowers by the club along with other messages of good will. To say that your great club has come through for my family over the last few weeks is an understatement. During the time when certain individuals were bent on getting Craven Cottage's status as a football ground overturned, my old man worked tirelessly to defend and campaign for a club for which he's always held much affection. Maybe this is payback! I'm not Fulham myself but go along with Josh to watch you when I can. I wish you all a highly successful season (both football and festive) and once again thank you, profoundly and sincerely, for restoring my faith in football and humanity. Mark

Fulham are making an ambitious £1 million move to sign super kid Raheem Sterling from neighbours QPR - and away from the clutches of Arsenal and Manchester City.

The teenage sensation wants to leave Rangers and Fulham have now made an official offer for him, leaving the Hoops with a dilemma about the England youth prospect.

Arsenal and City have also offered money - plus first-team players on loan - but Fulham are willing to make a major investment on the Jamaican-born, London-raised kid.

Fulham want the deal tied up immediately but Rangers have been alerting rival clubs to their interest, hoping the Gunners and City respond with improved offers of their own.

All that talk yesterday about the pooper-scoops and I forgot how much it hurt when Coney and Parker went there.

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is keen on Rangers midfielder DaMarcus Beasley.

The American left-winger is desperate to leave the Ibrox club in pursuit of the regular first-team football he believes will get into his country's World Cup squad.

Beasley, 27, has played in the Premier League before with Manchester City three years on loan from PSV Eindhoven. But he failed to recapture his reproduce his international form and was sold by the Dutch club to Rangers for just £700,000.

Should Fulham follow up any interest, however, Beasley would almost certainly play second fiddle to Damien Duff who has made the left-wing berth his own since moving to Craven Cottage from Newcastle in the summer.
But Beasley said: "My current situation is not ideal. Its been frustrating. I'm looking to move because I want to play. It's not that I am not happy with the club. I just want to play."

Give a player a chance - but this one has already failed in England and is too lightweight even in Scotland - and compared to some this is really NOT an area we need to strengthen.
