From the limbs of the tree, a soft growl is heard. A slight
rusteling is heard further out on the branches, and then a panther slips from the tree,
limbs absorbing the shock of hitting hard ground. the animal's amber orbs directed
toward the boy that leaned against her tree. She studies him a moment, utterly warry,
and more than slightly confused. Slowly, on soft, silent pads, she moves forth,
attention locked onto the boy. She slowly lowers her white frame to the ground, her
eyes never straying from his. After amoment, she speaks very softly,
however, her mouth does not move. Why are you without shirt? and what exactly was
that fool hardy man doing to you?
Despite the fact that she had lived amung humans
for the majority of her life, Kaylee just couldn't grasp the concept of abuse, perhaps
because she had been a victem, perhaps because she was not human. She wasn't sure,
but either way, she knew how the boy felt.
