As I've said before, Paul was more than the Kwisatz Haderach because he was unexpected. He wasn't simply the power of prescience. His very existence changed the course of the future.

Evidence that supports the fact that he IS the Kwisatz Haderach is that in the later novels, characters continually refer to the unwillingness of the Bene Gesserit or Bene tleilax to create ANOTHER Kwisatz Haderach. Perhaps they are referring to the BEne Tleilax KH who committed suicide. But I think it is more clearly Paul whom they are referring to.

As far as Other Memory is concerned, it is clear that it is different from Pre-Born. Mohiam in the quote I just showed you says that she can look back into her body's memory. And thus she can see the past.
This is the basic principal of Other Memory as outlined by her in the text. However, she can only see the female avenues.
The Kwisatz Haderach should be able to do the same thing only with both male and female avenues.

However, this is NOT the same thing as Pre-Born where someone's memories and persona actually live inside a person. Other Memory as you said, is probably much more like prescient vision, only in the past.
Therefore, I still can see how Paul was overwhelmed by Leto's "memories".

So now the real question is "Is Paul the Kwisatz Haderach." I believe it is answered affirmatively in the text and there is ample evidence to suggest he is. As I said, in Chapterhouse I believe they talk about Duncan being ANOTHER possible Kwisatz Haderach. That implies that there was one before him. Again, I believe that it is Paul. I am pretty sure Frank's intention was that Paul was Kwisatz Haderach. I am re-reading Dune now, and I will post any more pertinent examples that may answer the question that is really what it comes down to.
