For the life of me I can't see how people are ranting and panicking after two bad games both were wins on the road. You have to realize these teams are playing for their life, especially South Florida. They needed this win to secure a berth in the Tournament. People want to see flashy plays and guys dropping 30 every night, but this team finds ways to win despite slumps. People say Maxiell slumped. He got burned on the defensive end, but people don't look at the little things. Maxiell shot 5-7 from the field, 8-9 from the FT line had 18 points and snatched down 6 boards. That's pretty good off the bench. I-Mac literally shut down South Florida's best player as did Stokes on their next option. UC got burned in the paint, that's more a lack of concentration and this team struggling then anything. UC's frontcourt was worse last year and took it to South Florida, but got burned this year? Just one of those things. The frontcourt played reasonably well last game, it just happens. The rest of the team contributed 51 points in this game to go along with Logan. This team was rolling just a week or so ago. You hit slumps. Remember, Duke lost to Florida State, had to steal a 1 point win against Seton Hall and had to play the game of their life to beat Kentucky. Nobody's perfect, it happens. You have to be a homer to see that when a team is rolling and suddenly hit a patch in the road and struggles that there is a good chance that that team is just hitting their slump. I would guess that the first 18 games are a better indication of a team then the last 2 even though the last 2 were wins. How many times did people pound on this frontcourt last year, only to see it wake up in the NCAA Tournament?
