Subject: Wonder if the delay in starting the 2nd half any do with the way it played out. W.V.U. got to shoot around for 10 minutes while we did nothing and then they gave us one minute for a lay up drill after the hoop was fixed. I know that had nothing to do with the way we played defense but I thought at the time neither team should be shooting until both hoops were available.
In reply to: Alan 's message, "Everhart After Game Radio: "we stopped guarding, bad job guarding post, too many open 3's for West, poor free throws down the stretch--missed 8 in the second half, weren't cutting as hard, our dribble drives got contested, great effort, their size/athleticism got the best of us, didn't make 3's in 2nd half, give Bill a lot of credit, can't get out of position (Bill) against good teams, WVU-good job game planning Damian, 11 assists--weren't sharing the ball, 15 t/o--hard to win. Huggins said 'your kids deserved to win tonight.' We have to figure out how to win."" on Sunday, December 12, 09:37:37pm

  • At halftime I was thinking we need to score on this first possesion and keep the heat on W.V.U. Only problem with that was W.V.U. was given the ball and they scored right away. W.V.U. got the tip to start the game and I'm 99% sure there wasn't a held ball or anything else that would have changed the possesion arrow. We should have had the ball to start the 2nd half.
