This seems possible except that Pitt will be under extraordinary pressure to get it right--undeniably--and Gattuso will be seen as part of the old guard. I've heard from reliable sources that at the Duquesne Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner Gatusso said that he'd like to come back to coach the Dukes. Perhaps his comments anticipated a collapse of the Panthers, resulting in a head coaching change, including all or most of the assistant coaches. Jerry Schmitt's contract expired at the end of this season. Given how the Dukes ended the season on the upbeat with a 7-4 record, a 3rd place NEC finish, & return 14 starters for next season, I'm not so sure that it's time for Schmitt to go to make room for Gattuso.
