Penn State just got commits from TWO 6'11"players who are rated very good. Penn St is football-I love how Pitt is jealous of them and how Pitt football inthe Big Least is weak. BUT, why can PSU get big guys and they aren't known for BBall? Don't criticize them or their players they got. Why can't we get big guys? Is the Big 10 a better conf. for BBall than ours? All you need to answer this is to remember back to when we beat Iowa, a low-tier B10 basketball program. Folks called it an "upset." The A10 is excellent, but still has that mid-major label. Where do I begin; the Big Ten is the best sports league in the nation; it pays out huge sums of money to every member each year; they are the envy of every other league; B-10 has its own network; so the players will be seen on TV. Can you even begin to compare the two schools? how about the campus? How about the facilities and support? Really we are not even in the conversation; give Ron credit for getting the quality players that he is able to sign; he is going against a huge deficit in many areas. . I don't share the hate for PSU; since PSU and Duquesne always had a good relationship when both were in the same league; and PSU has never done anything since to change that relatioinship; at least they were willing schedule Duquesne; hopefully the Nittany Lions can surprise the Buckeyes tomorrow! Actually PSU only recently signed one 6'11 kid from prep scholl Mass -- who was rated 2** by Scout and #17 pospect in New England by NERR (right behind a 6'0 PG going to Fordham). The other 6'11 kid from Eastern PA committed last December. Also a 2** (ala Peggau, Shawntez Patterson etc).
