  - It wasn't that long ago (Gattusso was the coach here) that I would have bet that DU could beat Pitt in football. Before anyone laughs, there have been numerous upsets in which FCS teams have knocked off BCS programs. I could have easily envisioned Leigh Bodden making a pick in an open field and breaking a 0-0 game open. PS, one of the all time great upsets in college football was 7-0 DU over ESP on a rain-soaked field in the 1930s. Elmer Layden was the coach, Bilgy would remember better. He had season's tickets.         Pitt has never come close to losing to a 1AA, and let's be honest, the Dukes at their best weren't close to the level of teams like Villanova and UMass. There is a huge gap between 1AA scholarship, and non scholarship programs, let alone 1A. When the Dukes were at their peak, Pitt was going to bowl games under Walt Harris.
