Subject: Nellie was a friend and mentor to me. Duquesne has lost a great treasure today. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I appreciate every professor I had at DU, but Nellie taught me more about how to conduct myself as a professional than amyone I have ever met.

  • Perfect description my friend. When Nellie retired, the college basketball reporter for the Newark Star-Ledger devoted half a column to him. Basically said he was the classiest SID the reporter had ever met, and told nice stories about Nellie as a person. I'd love to find an archive of that some time and share it with everyone.
