Subject: Sam and Zeke story

quick one for you - Zeke (3) and Sam (7) were topping off a Sunday family dinner with a brownie. Each OF COURSE was given one brownie on a plate. For some reason, Zeke had it in his head that he was due two brownies - don't ask me why but as some of you know, three years olds are severely brain damaged individuals.

Zeke was having a major meltdown in his little booster seat. He was crying and looking to his left at Toni and me in the kitchen imploring us to hand over that second, elusive brownie. Sam was on Zeke's right trying to enjoy his one piece of brownie in peace. So, Zeke is shedding crocodile tears looking at his parents when all of the sudden, Sam quietly reaches over and jabs his fork into Zeke's brownie, cutting it cleanly into two pieces. He then says, "Hey, Zeke. Look down. I got you another brownie." Zeke turns back to the plate, looks down, immediately stops crying, says, "Thanks Sam!" and goes on to enjoy his first and hard fought second brownie.

Damn that Sam is good!
